Become a Member of the Climate Sensitive Infectious Disease Network

Becoming a member of the CSID Network offers numerous resources and opportunities for collaboration. Membership represents joining a global community of individuals and partner organizations. Sign up for the CSID Network listserv here to stay abreast of upcoming happenings.

We aim to foster a diverse and inclusive community of practice around climate sensitive infectious disease open source software tools. Membership is open to all individuals and organizations who wish to contribute towards a community working to prevent and respond to climate-related infectious disease threats.

Become a CSID Fellow

The CSID Network hosts a fellowship program where selected fellows are offered a stipend and programmatic support to establish a place-based CSID community around them and actively be part of building the global CSID community.

The fellows develop place-based nodes and localized networks that connect into the globally distributed CSID community. Fellows come from and have deep roots in the places in which they are catalyzing community. In addition to supporting the development of place–based community building, the fellowship mechanism also serves a dual purpose of creating opportunities for personal growth and leadership of the next generation of CSID thought leaders. By intentionally conducting local work with global scale, we attend to power asymmetries that stem from legacies of imperialism which continue to influence how global projects are governed and led.

The CSID Fellowship expression of interest period is now open until November 4th! Apply here.

Join a CSID Working Group

In 2025, a federated working group structure will be established to allow autonomy for network members to convene and advance relevant topical areas of interest. Working group topics will be determined collectively by and in the full assembly of network members in 2025.

Each working group will be autonomous, with control over the affairs they propose to work on. All working groups share overall goals and objectives with the broader network. Each working group will have a budget to use for proposed activities as determined by working group members. Working groups will be open to any and all network members to join.

The working group structure will feed into the overall governance of the network. Representatives from each working group will participate in the overall management of the network through a volunteer-based group called the Representative Council.

Stay tuned for our announcement of open call for working groups in 2025.
